I recently had a trip across Molesworth Station starting on the Marlborough side and ending up in Hanmer Springs. It provide great opportunities to get up early and climb up into the hills to get outstanding views.
Tekapo
Spent a night down in Lake Tekapo recently (mid Nov 2019), I was fortunate to get outstanding weather down there, while every to the North was covered in the smoke from the Australian fires. Not often I take photos in full day light but the lake colour was so stunning I just had to. Good job I did as the lake's colour fades to a normal grey as the sun goes down
Coromandel
Had a weekend away in the Coromandel in mid December 2019. First stop was Owharoa falls, the on to Hahei for an late evening and early morning hike into Cathedral Cove. The later that day a trip to Waiau falls and Kauri grove..
Auckland
Went up to Auckland for the work Christmas Party (2019) and stayed in St Heliers. Found a few nice photos early on a rainy Saturday morning.
Tongariro National Park
Very brief trip (1 night) down to Turangi from Auckland in Dec 2020. But rewarded by a lovely sunset over Mt Taranaki
