Nelson / Tasman
The Nelson / Tasman area consists of the top right side of the South Island of New Zealand. Its a land of endless beaches surrounded by forest covered hills that back onto bigger mountains.
Seascapes
There's no shortage of interesting coastal places to photograph. Most are East facing around me so best in the morning, the exception being the coast round from Tahunanui to Nelson where you can look across the sea for sunsets.
Mountains, Lakes and Rivers
The mountains are close by, I can be up in the mountains within an hour's drive, Takaka Hill to the North, Flora hut and the Mt Arthur range to the West, or Nelson Lakes to the South.
